20 Ways to Decline a Holiday Invitation

One of the things I hear most when I am giving a workshop on stress management, is that people struggle to set boundaries and to say no. People tell me that they have trouble finding the right words. While "no thanks" is a complete sentence, I understand that people do not want to offend anyone and simply saying "no thanks" can feel a bit curt.

As the holidays are approaching quickly and invitations are plentiful, I wanted to share 20 polite ways to decline a holiday invitation. And if you are on the fence and need time to think about it, telling someone you need to get back to them is acceptable as well. Still not sure? Check out my blog post on How to Stop Feeling Guilty for Setting Boundaries.
